Personal Background
Ken is married to Marti for 44 years (in a row) with two grown children and two grandchildren. Daughter, Kristi is Vice Principal of McQueen High School in Reno, NV and son, Greg is an Associate Editor with Pixar Studios with credits for “Finding Nemo”, “Cars” and just released, “Up”. After ten years in San Jose, California, Ken and Marti have lived in Reno three times since 1975 in addition to living in Denver, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City and two years in France during Ken’s earlier career in wireless communications, specializing in “start-up” operations.

Ken is currently responsible for managing the Select Group’s Sparks office. During the past 14 years, in addition to being a successful real estate agent representing both buyers and sellers of all types of properties, Ken has managed, trained and coached some of the most successful agents in the Reno/Sparks area. He is a Certified Mentor for the “One Hundred Days to Greatness” program offered by the Brian Buffini organization, a certified Post Licensing and Continuing Education instructor for Ticor Title, the Realty 500 School and the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors where he also serves on the Board of Directors as President-Elect for 2009 - President in 2010.
A new licensee in 1995, Ken became the Training Manager and a top 10 real estate sales producer for Coldwell Banker Plummer & Associates in 1997 and Sales Manager 2001-2004.
In 2004, Ken became the Broker/Manager of Coldwell Banker Village Realty’s Galena office. After a successful year at Galena, he was asked to manage the new McCarran office and also serve as the General Sales Manager for the company’s four Reno/Sparks offices.
In 2007 and 2008, Ken took time out to coach and train a select group of 6 new licensees whose combined listings and sales during their first 9 months as new Realtors totaled more than all of the rest of the new licensees in the Reno market from the same time period put together.
Educational Background
After High School and a first year in engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, Ken moved on to business management at San Jose State. Real estate education and training has consumed the last 14 years including a GRI designation, the Buffini Mentor certification, Accredited Buyers Representation and numerous special seminars with David Knox, Mike Ferry and Floyd Wickman.
